Step 1

Read Savings rate

  1. Read Savings rate
  2. Rates and averages are calculations
  3. Projection is not recorded spending

Savings rate is Income minus Expenses, divided by Income.

It is not a deposit into a savings category.

With no ordinary income, Pennie shows zero rather than dividing by zero.

Step 2

Read Average daily spend

  1. Read Average daily spend
  2. Rates and averages are calculations
  3. Projection is not recorded spending

A completed September uses thirty calendar days.

Average daily spend divides recorded expense across those days.

It is not a daily bank balance.

Step 3

Understand Projected expense

  1. Understand Projected expense
  2. Rates and averages are calculations
  3. Projection is not recorded spending

For the current month, the calculation uses days elapsed.

Projected expense extends that spending pace across the month.

It is a forecast, not money already spent.

Step 4

Compare like periods

  1. Compare like periods
  2. Rates and averages are calculations
  3. Projection is not recorded spending

For a completed month, projected expense equals recorded expense.

This export was calculated on October fourth using the service's host calendar.

The native Budget sample clock is separately fixed in September.
