Worked examples use sample data, not your account. Reference screenshots show the current app controls in a Windows preview; their example amounts may differ from this lesson. Android system prompts vary by device.

Step 1

Choose Loan in EMI Planner

  1. Open Settings > EMI Planner
  2. Choose Loan

Open Settings, then EMI Planner. Choose Loan to estimate a payment or payoff time before committing.

This calculator is a comparison tool. It does not save a loan, create a transaction or post interest to your ledger.

Step 2

Enter the principal and annual rate

  1. Enter the amount borrowed
  2. Enter the annual interest percentage

Enter the loan amount and annual interest rate. Our clearly synthetic example is three lakh rupees at nine percent.

Use the terms offered by your lender. Fees, insurance and actual bank rounding can differ from this estimate.

Step 3

Use tenure to estimate the payment

  1. Select Tenure as Plan by
  2. Use months or years deliberately

Tenure basis answers what payment would repay this principal over the term. We use twenty-four months.

The month and year control changes the tenure unit. Check the unit as well as the number before calculating.

Step 4

Check interest type and cadence

  1. Compare reducing balance and simple interest
  2. Choose the actual accrual cadence

Compound, reducing balance and simple, original principal are different models. Select the one matching the proposed terms.

Accrual cadence matters too. This sample uses monthly interest; the planner's assumptions are not proof of your lender's policy.

Step 5

Calculate and inspect the payment summary

  1. Choose Calculate
  2. Read Loan EMI, interest and total payment

Choose Calculate after checking your terms. The real calculator returns a loan EMI, interest payable and total payment.

All figures shown here come from the actual decimal calculator, not hand-written tutorial numbers. They remain estimates, not recorded repayments.

Step 6

Expand the real yearly schedule

  1. Scroll to Yearly breakdown
  2. Tap plus to see monthly rows

Scroll to Yearly breakdown and tap the plus button to expand genuine monthly figures.

Swipe the table sideways for additional columns. The schedule describes this plan, not bank-confirmed payments already made.

Step 7

Use an EMI amount to estimate tenure

  1. Choose EMI as Plan by
  2. Enter the payment you can compare

Loan mode also offers EMI basis. Enter a monthly payment to estimate how long repayment would take.

This example uses fifteen thousand rupees. Changing the basis does not change a saved loan or consent to any financial transaction.

Step 8

Read the EMI-basis payoff estimate

  1. Calculate the new basis
  2. Compare the estimated payoff month

Calculate again after changing the basis. Compare the new estimated payoff month and total interest with the tenure-based plan.

A lower term is not guaranteed by this screen. Actual payment timing, rates and lender rules still determine the real outcome.

Step 9

Fix rejected inputs before relying on results

  1. Use a positive loan amount
  2. Read the actual validation message

A zero loan amount is rejected. The calculator clears results rather than inventing a repayment schedule.

Payments must also exceed upcoming interest. An insufficient EMI shows an error, so correct the terms and calculate again.

Step 10

Zero interest still needs a real term

  1. Compare a zero-percent loan
  2. Keep estimates separate from your ledger

At zero percent, this three-lakh, twenty-four-month example calculates twelve thousand five hundred rupees per month, with no interest.

Even this simple result is a planning estimate. Record actual borrowing and repayments separately; the planner does not save them.

Step 11

Planner access is separate from cloud AI

  1. Use the existing planner unlock when needed
  2. Only a completed reward grants timed access

Planner calculation uses its existing feature access. Regular paid access or active referral ad-free time bypasses the ad gate; otherwise a completed rewarded unlock can grant timed access.
