Step 1
Use the real historical date
- Interest-bearing Savings and Debt are special
- At most thirty calendar days back
- The thirtieth day is included
For interest-bearing Savings or Debt, use the actual movement date and stay within thirty calendar days of backdating, including the thirtieth day.
Keeping posted interest does not bypass this date limit. Ordinary expense history and whole-database restore have different rules.
Step 2
Yes updates recorded interest history
- Yes replays automatic interest
- Only owned intervals with recorded terms
- Missing legacy history is not invented
If the interest-history question appears, Yes asks Pennie to replay automatic interest using the recorded terms for affected owned periods.
Paused gaps are preserved and missing legacy history is not invented. Do not describe the replay as a fresh bank statement.
Step 3
No keeps posted interest
- No preserves existing posted interest
- The actual transaction still changes
- The date restriction still applies
No keeps the already posted interest while allowing the reviewed transaction change.
It does not remove the thirty-day entry restriction, and it is not a promise that historical bank interest will match.
Step 4
Cancel writes nothing
- Cancel stops the historical operation
- Do not assume a failed attempt was saved
- Review the ledger after a successful change
Cancel makes no transaction write or interest-history change.
