Worked examples use sample data, not your account. Reference screenshots show the current app controls in a Windows preview; their example amounts may differ from this lesson. Android system prompts vary by device.

Step 1

Check this month's budget

  1. Check the verified saved state
  2. Read the highlighted value
  3. Setup is separate from money movement

When no income is recorded for this month, Categories shows the missing-budget state.

Tap Add budget to open the income Budget route; this is not an expense-category limit.

Step 2

Review income and Budget

  1. Choose Budget (income) and Budget category
  2. Enter actual income and date
  3. Do not repeat an existing income

The real transaction editor labels income as Budget and uses the Budget category for this thirty-thousand example.

Check the income amount and date against what actually happened, not a category spending limit.

Step 3

Review and save once

  1. Read You're adding
  2. Complete manual-save access if offered
  3. Save income once

Review You're adding before Save, and complete the separate manual-saving unlock if offered.

The visible Watch ad card is for reminders, not manual saving.

Step 4

Return after saving income

  1. Check the verified saved state
  2. Read the highlighted value
  3. Setup is separate from money movement

Save the actual income once through Add Transaction, using its separate manual-saving access if offered.

The verified example records thirty thousand for October and returns to the monthly allocation card.

Step 5

Allocate, don't duplicate income

  1. Check the verified saved state
  2. Read the highlighted value
  3. Setup is separate from money movement

With no category limits yet, all thirty thousand is left to allocate.

If income is already saved, set your limits instead of recording the same income again.
