Confirm or cancel deletion of a custom category with no saved transactions.

Step 1
Choose an unused custom category
Check the verified saved state
Read the highlighted value
Setup is separate from money movement
Use Delete only for an unused custom category such as Unused hobby.
Built-in categories cannot be deleted, and category deletion is not deleting recorded payments.
Step 2
Review the real confirmation
Read Delete category
Use Cancel to keep it
Delete only when unused
The real Delete category confirmation names the selected custom category.
Cancel keeps it unchanged; Delete removes the unused category after confirmation.

Check Cancel keeps it
Check the verified saved state
Read the highlighted value
Setup is separate from money movement
The verified Cancel state retains Unused hobby with the same identifier.
Nothing is removed by merely opening or dismissing the confirmation.
