Step 1
What Interest Balances shows
- Find the Savings and Debt cards
- These are tracked category balances
- They are not interest-earned totals
Interest Balances is the Dashboard area for tracked savings and debt categories.
The amounts in its cards are balances, not simply interest earned this month.
They are separate from the income, expense and net cards above.
Step 2
Switch between Savings and Debt
- Tap Savings for savings rows
- Tap Debt for debt rows
- Viewing details identifies the open side
Tap Savings to show its rows, or Debt to show the debt rows.
Viewing details identifies the open side.
This expands the Dashboard information; it is not a bank connection, a payment confirmation or a new transaction.
Step 3
Read savings terms carefully
- Emergency Fund: INR 75,000
- Configured rate: 4% yearly
- Goal percentage is a different measurement
The Emergency Fund example shows seventy-five thousand rupees and four percent yearly.
The rate is part of its configured terms, while the seventy-five percent beside the target is goal progress.
Do not read the progress percentage as an interest rate.
Step 4
Read debt direction before its rate
- Personal Loan: you owe
- Money lent: owed to you
- Correct direction affects the balance meaning
Debt rows also show whether you owe the money or someone owes it to you.
Read that direction before interpreting a rate.
Configured terms and calculated interest are local tracking records, not proof that a lender charged you or a borrower paid you.
Step 5
Do not expect interest to change monthly net
- Dashboard net excludes automatic interest
- Balances use their own tracking history
- Compare with real statements separately
Automatic interest entries are excluded from Dashboard's monthly income and expense totals.
Their effect belongs in the tracked balance history, so you should not expect the monthly net to match interest balances.
Compare your records with real statements separately.
Step 6
Use Reports for the detailed history
- Open View Reports
- Inspect the relevant savings or debt data
- Treat calculations as tracking, not financial advice
Use View Reports when you need a more detailed picture of savings, debt and interest activity.
Make sure the category terms and dates reflect the real agreement.
These calculations support tracking; they are not a guarantee of returns or financial advice.
