Worked examples use sample data, not your account. Reference screenshots show the current app controls in a Windows preview; their example amounts may differ from this lesson. Android system prompts vary by device.

Step 1

Open saved expenses or Reports

  1. Scroll to the Dashboard's bottom
  2. View Expenses opens saved expenses
  3. View Reports opens the Reports tab

At the bottom of Dashboard, choose View Expenses to inspect saved expense entries, or View Reports for detailed analysis.

These are two different destinations.

We will use separate sample screens to show their controls, not continue a real account session.

Step 2

Check the expense filter and month

  1. The Expense filter is selected
  2. Check the selected month
  3. Date can narrow the results further

View Expenses opens Transactions with the Expense filter selected.

Check the selected month before looking for a purchase, and use Date when you need a particular day.

The sample list contains saved expenses; pending finance suggestions are not saved records.

Step 3

Search for a saved purchase

  1. Type a useful word in Search
  2. Sample search: groceries
  3. Check matching rows and search totals

Use Search to find a useful category or note, such as groceries.

Our isolated sample search leaves the matching five hundred rupee grocery entry.

Check the matching rows and Search Results totals; filtered results are not the total of every transaction in your database.

Step 4

Read the matching saved entry

  1. Groceries expense: INR 500
  2. Check date and Weekly groceries note
  3. Search totals describe these matching rows

Here is the matching saved row in closer view.

Check its category, amount, date and note to make sure it is the purchase you wanted.

The five hundred rupee Search Results expense total describes this filtered example, not every expense in the month.

Step 5

Start with Reports Summary

  1. Open View Reports
  2. Choose the period you want
  3. Summary shows the selected report period

Return to Dashboard and open View Reports.

If an access offer appears, use the available completed reward or regular Premium option; AI Premium is separate.

In Reports, start with Summary and choose the period you want rather than assuming these figures match the Dashboard sample.

Step 6

Use Budget for category planning

  1. Select the Budget tab
  2. Review category targets and usage
  3. Different from Dashboard's Total Budget

The Budget tab shows category targets and usage for the selected month.

This is different from the Dashboard Total Budget card, which adds saved income.

Read the category labels and amounts carefully so a planning target is not mistaken for a bank balance.

Step 7

Use Trends to investigate spending

  1. Choose time frame and spending type
  2. Select Expense, Savings or Debt
  3. Apply search when you use its search field

In Trends, choose the time frame, spending type and category kind you need.

Expense, Savings and Debt describe different data.

Use Apply search for this report's search field, then review the breakdown and charts for the chosen filters.

Step 8

Keep the records behind reports accurate

  1. Check the period and filters
  2. Correct missing or duplicate saved records
  3. Return to Dashboard for a quick overview

Reports help you understand the entries you have saved; they do not silently repair missing or duplicate data.

Check the period and filters before drawing a conclusion.

Return to Dashboard when you want the quick overview, and use the earlier tutorials when recording new activity.
