Worked examples use sample data, not your account. Reference screenshots show the current app controls in a Windows preview; their example amounts may differ from this lesson. Android system prompts vary by device.

Step 1

Cloud permission comes first

  1. Open AI Intelligence in Settings
  2. Cloud controls stay hidden while off

Open AI Intelligence from Settings. Without cloud permission, the feature controls stay hidden.

If you choose cloud AI, enable it with the separate agreement first. Local tracking and learning remain available while off.

Step 2

Find Notification suggestions

  1. Cloud is optional and comes last
  2. Current saved examples have precedence

With cloud AI already enabled, find Notification suggestions in AI features.

Current saved examples are checked first. Optional cloud AI helps when local evidence cannot identify the category.

Step 3

Off stops optional cloud suggestions

  1. Turn Notification suggestions off
  2. Capture and local learning continue

Turn Notification suggestions off when you do not want cloud categorisation for captured messages.

This does not stop notification capture or local learning. It changes the optional cloud path.

Step 4

On still respects permission and usage

  1. Turn it on when you choose
  2. Account, network and quota checks still apply

Turn the switch back on when you want that optional assistance.

On does not bypass account access, cloud permission, network availability or the AI allowance.

Step 5

Read the actual confidence slider

  1. Default setting: 70 percent
  2. The supported range is 40 to 100 percent

Minimum confidence for suggestions and automatic saving starts at seventy percent by default.

On your phone, move the slider within its forty to one hundred percent range. Read the value beside it.

Step 6

Lower thresholds accept more suggestions

  1. 40 percent is the lower endpoint
  2. Review suggestions rather than trusting the number

Forty percent is the lower endpoint shown here. Lower thresholds can accept more suggestions.

That does not make them correct. Review the suggested category and subcategory before saving.

Step 7

Higher thresholds accept fewer suggestions

  1. Example setting: 85 percent
  2. Confidence is a routing estimate

This example raises the setting to eighty-five percent. Higher thresholds accept fewer suggestions.

Eighty-five percent is a routing estimate, not a measured eighty-five percent chance that the category is right.

Step 8

One hundred percent is not a guarantee

  1. 100 percent is the upper endpoint
  2. The score still cannot prove a category

One hundred percent is the upper endpoint, not a promise of perfect categorisation.

Confidence is an estimate, not a guarantee. Ambiguous messages can still need manual review.

Step 9

Reopening remembers your setting

  1. A new page reads the stored 85 percent
  2. Saved corrections improve local evidence

Reopening this actual page remembers the stored eighty-five percent setting.

When a suggestion is wrong, review and save the corrected category and subcategory. Only saved evidence teaches the local classifier.

Step 10

Suggestions do not enable automatic saving

  1. Automatic saving has separate AI-paid gates
  2. Keep review, permission and threshold distinct

Changing suggestions or confidence does not enable Save automatically. It remains unavailable to this synthetic free account.

Automatic saving needs the separate AI plan, cloud permission and an explicit choice. Keep those gates separate and review uncertain messages.
