Worked examples use sample data, not your account. Reference screenshots show the current app controls in a Windows preview; their example amounts may differ from this lesson. Android system prompts vary by device.

Step 1

Find Your AI allowance

  1. Open AI Intelligence in Settings
  2. Scroll to Your AI allowance

Open AI Intelligence from Settings and scroll to Your AI allowance.

This card shows remaining calls and the allowance period. These tutorial accounts and counts are synthetic.

Step 2

Free means one hundred calls once

  1. 100 calls belong to the Pennie account
  2. Shared across devices, not per install

The free allowance is one hundred calls once per Pennie account, shared across devices.

It is not one hundred every month, and reinstalling does not give that same account a fresh allowance.

Step 3

Read the number still available

  1. 30 used leaves 70 available
  2. The denominator is the free allowance

In this example, thirty calls have been used, leaving seventy out of one hundred.

The first number is what remains, not what has already been spent.

Step 4

Unused free calls carry forward for life

  1. No monthly refill or expiry
  2. Reinstall or AI-data deletion is not a reset

Those seventy unused free calls carry forward next month or years later, without expiry or a refill.

Deleting AI data or reinstalling does not replenish the same account's allowance. This screen illustrates the tested server rule.

Step 5

Free exhaustion has no reset date

  1. Read the one-time free-limit warning
  2. Explore the separate AI plan if needed

When the lifetime free allowance is exhausted, this warning says all one hundred one-time calls have been used.

There is no free reset date to wait for. Explore AI Premium if you want its separate paid allowance.

Step 6

Only AI Premium has a monthly AI allowance

  1. Read AI calls left this month
  2. Paid numbers here are examples, not an offer

The separate AI Premium plan changes this label to AI calls left this month.

These paid numbers are illustrative, not a promised limit or live purchase. Paid calls do not use or refill your free allowance.

Step 7

Regular Premium and AI Premium are independent

  1. Regular paid access does not upgrade AI quota
  2. AI-only access does not grant ad-free or backup

Regular Premium does not grant the paid AI allowance.

AI Premium alone does not make Pennie ad-free or unlock regular paid backup. Keep the two plans separate.

Step 8

Paid exhaustion shows a monthly reset

  1. Read the monthly-limit warning
  2. Use your own account's displayed reset date

Paid exhaustion has a different warning: you have reached the monthly AI limit.

Read the reset date shown for your account. November first here is only a sample, not your actual reset date.

Step 9

Disabled free access is a different rejection

  1. Read the actual rejection, not only the count
  2. The separate AI plan remains available

If free access is disabled, this distinct warning says AI categorisation requires the separate AI Premium plan.

A cached remaining count does not override that rejection. The AI plan entry remains available.

Step 10

An unavailable count is not zero

  1. A dash means no count is available
  2. Do not assume a reset or fresh grant

A dash means the current remaining count is unavailable.

It is not zero and not proof of a fresh allowance. Check account access rather than assuming more calls.

Step 11

Signed out: sign in for an allowance

  1. Account usage is shared across devices
  2. Sign-in alone does not enable cloud AI

A signed-out account shows Sign in for a free allowance.

Signing in gives access to that account's existing usage, not a new monthly grant or automatic cloud permission.

Step 12

Expired is different from signed out

  1. Read Session expired: sign in again
  2. Never borrow another account's old usage

An expired session instead says Session expired, sign in again.

Changing accounts must not borrow the previous account's quota. The real account-state tests check late and stale replies.

Step 13

Usage never substitutes for cloud permission

  1. Enable cloud AI is a separate choice
  2. Local tracking stays available while off

Available calls or an AI plan never replace your explicit cloud AI permission.

Enable cloud AI stays off in this demonstration. Local tracking, local learning and Excel reports remain available.

Step 14

Check account, period and remaining calls

  1. Free is lifetime; paid AI is monthly
  2. Read the reason before choosing your next step

Check the current account, the allowance period and how many calls remain.

Keep lifetime free usage, the separate monthly AI plan and cloud permission as three different things.
