Step 1
Choose Recurring deposit
- Open Settings > EMI Planner
- Select Recurring deposit as the goal
Open EMI Planner from Settings and choose Recurring deposit for a monthly-contribution comparison.
This plans repeated deposits. It does not create a savings account, schedule a debit or add transactions to your ledger.
Step 2
Enter the monthly contribution
- Enter the amount deposited each month
- Enter the annual interest rate
Enter a monthly contribution and annual interest rate. Our synthetic sample uses five thousand rupees a month at seven percent.
The contribution is the repeated deposit amount, not a desired maturity target. Use the terms of the actual product you are considering.
Step 3
Set a real deposit term
- Enter the tenure
- Check months versus years
Set the tenure and check its unit. This example uses twenty-four months.
The current recurring-deposit screen takes contribution plus tenure. It does not offer the loan-only EMI basis or a reverse maturity-goal solver.
Step 4
Select the deposit interest model
- Compare compound and simple interest
- Read the chosen model's explanation
Choose compound or simple interest deliberately and read the explanation below the selector.
A product's accrual and crediting rules affect its return. The model is not a promise that every bank's recurring deposit works the same way.
Step 5
Distinguish accrual from crediting
- Choose how interest accrues
- Check the supported crediting cadence
Accrual describes how interest is computed; crediting describes when eligible interest is added to the corpus.
Use only the combinations offered by the actual selector. Some choices change the available crediting periods.
Step 6
Calculate the monthly deposit plan
- Choose Calculate
- Read contribution, interest and maturity value
Calculate after checking the contribution, term and start month. Read monthly deposit, interest earned and total value at maturity.
These displayed totals and all underlying rows come from the real decimal calculator. No money was deposited by opening this screen.
Step 7
Compare a supported quarterly scenario
- Change the cadence deliberately
- Recalculate before comparing totals
A supported quarterly accrual and crediting scenario can produce a different estimate from the monthly example.
Recalculate after changing the terms. Compare the real output rather than assuming a cadence change always produces the same result.
Step 8
Compare the simple-interest estimate
- Select Simple and calculate
- Read its different maturity estimate
Simple interest is a separate model. Select it, calculate again and read its own result.
Do not compare different contribution amounts or terms as if interest mode alone caused the change. Keep your baseline assumptions consistent.
Step 9
Expand contributions and corpus by month
- Open Yearly breakdown
- Expand genuine monthly rows
Scroll to Yearly breakdown and use plus to inspect the monthly contribution and growing-corpus schedule.
Swipe sideways for more columns. This is a projected deposit schedule, not evidence of saved contributions or posted ledger interest.
Step 10
Correct invalid contributions before planning
- Use a positive monthly contribution
- Keep estimates separate from real deposits
A zero contribution is rejected with the actual validation message and no fabricated maturity result.
Correct the input and calculate again. Recording real savings contributions, reminders and interest belongs to separate app workflows.
Step 11
Planner access is separate from cloud AI
- Use the existing planner unlock when needed
- Only a completed reward grants timed access
Planner calculation uses its existing feature access. Regular paid access or active referral ad-free time bypasses the ad gate; otherwise a completed rewarded unlock can grant timed access.
