Step 1
Browse the roadmap and search ideas
- Open Settings > Roadmap & Ideas
- Start with Dev tasks
Open Settings, then Roadmap and Ideas. Start with Dev tasks to see the published development roadmap.
Step 2
Active groups show development stages
- Read Active
- Check Next update and In progress
Active groups published tasks by their development stage. Next update and In progress help explain where the work currently stands.
A roadmap entry is not a guarantee that a feature is already installed or that every request will be implemented.
Step 3
Task pool holds planned work
- Choose Task pool
- Read planned entries separately
Choose Task pool to browse planned development work that is not in the active groups.
Planned is not a release date. Use the published status and developer explanation rather than guessing from the vote count.
Step 4
Ideas is the community board
- Choose Ideas
- New shows recent public ideas
Choose Ideas to browse the public community board. New orders matching entries by recency.
This is distinct from the developer's roadmap. A public suggestion can still be open, not planned, or awaiting a later decision.
Step 5
Top orders by votes
- Choose Top
- Popularity is not a delivery commitment
Choose Top to order matching ideas by their vote counts.
Votes express interest. A high count does not turn a suggestion into confirmed work or bypass moderation.
Step 6
Read the actual status filter
- Open the status menu beside the sort controls
- Choose the development stage you need
The status menu lets you narrow the board to Open, Planned, In progress, Next update, Completed, or Not planned.
My activity and My votes are personal filters in the same menu. They are covered separately from public status.
Step 7
Search by the idea's wording
- Use the search icon
- Enter a short relevant phrase
Use the search icon, then enter a short phrase. This example searches for Excel and displays the matching synthetic idea.
Search uses the community service's text search. It is not an AI similarity claim or a search through your saved expenses.
Step 8
Open an idea for its full explanation
- Select the idea you want
- Read its type, status and description
Select an idea to open the real detail screen. Read its type, status and full description before deciding whether to participate.
Developer responses and released-version information appear only when available. Our budget example is synthetic, not a claim about an unresolved app bug.
Step 9
Discussion belongs to that idea
- Read the comments on the selected idea
- Keep voting and commenting separate
The detail screen also shows that idea's comments. Voting and adding a comment are separate actions.
Reading the board does not submit an idea, upload your ledger, or call cloud expense AI.
Step 10
A connection error is not an empty board
- Read the visible connection error
- Do not infer that ideas were deleted
If the community service cannot be reached, the board shows an error and Retry.
That does not mean the board has no ideas. This screen does not promise a persistent offline copy of public entries.
Step 11
Retry when the service is reachable
- Resolve the connection issue
- Use Retry to reload
After resolving the connection issue, use Retry to load the board again. Our closed synthetic transport demonstrates that recovery.
Pennie's device ledger remains separate from this online community board. No expense data is sent by this worked example.
Step 12
Pennie community participation is guest-only
- Main-app sign-in does not change this board's identity
- Use a private installation identity
Pennie's community participation is guest-only, even if you sign in to the main app. This host has no account-link or optional sign-in button.
A private random installation identity keeps your community activity together. It is not your email, a device fingerprint, or your expense-account token.
Step 13
Read, narrow, then open the right idea
- Use Dev tasks for the roadmap
- Use Ideas to search and read details
Use Dev tasks for published development stages, and Ideas to search, sort and open community suggestions.
Read the complete idea before voting, commenting, or submitting a similar request. Those deliberate actions come next.
