Understand the difference between daily net and separate flow summaries.

Worked examples use sample data, not your account. Reference screenshots show the current app controls in a Windows preview; their example amounts may differ from this lesson. Android system prompts vary by device.
Step 1
Daily net is Budget minus Expense
Read the date-group total
Savings and Debt stay separate
A positive sign is not always income
A date-group total is net Budget minus Expense for that day.
On the third of October, thirty thousand Budget minus five hundred Expense gives twenty-nine thousand five hundred. The savings contribution is not added to that daily net.
Step 2
Search summaries follow the results
Read the Budget and Expense summary
Savings and Debt have separate totals
Keep the active scope in mind
When search results are summarized, Budget, Expense, Savings and Debt are shown separately.
This five-hundred search returns one ordinary expense. The summary belongs to the current results and filters, not your entire lifetime ledger.
Step 3
Debt signs describe a relationship
Check whether you owe or are owed
Read the category and note
Do not add debt to ordinary spending
Debt signs depend on the relationship and movement, so read whether you owe money or someone owes you.
Use the debt and savings views to understand those balances; do not treat every displayed positive amount as salary or every negative amount as a purchase.
