Step 1
Start here
- First-time setup > finance questions > plan > AI or local-only choice
After the earlier setup choices, Pennie asks five reflective questions and shows a locally selected introduction plan before offering optional AI or local-only use.
Step 2
How to use it
- Read each question and select the answer closest to your experience. Feedback appears after selection; Continue is hidden until an answer is selected.
- Question 1 asks whether spending surprises you. It introduces recording small purchases, not a score or a claim that Pennie knows your spending.
- Question 2 asks about loans and EMIs. Calculated daily interest depends on saved loan terms and balances; accrued interest is not proof of repayment. The EMI planner provides estimates, not lender quotes.
- Question 3 asks about category limits and budgeting. Selecting an answer does not create a limit or change financial records.
- Question 4 asks whether you check the plan before a card purchase. You can choose that you do not use credit cards.
- Question 5 asks about an emergency fund, a future purchase, paying down debt or simply understanding spending. The choice is a direction, not a savings promise.
- Choose See my plan to read three locally selected introduction benefits: daily clarity, category limits and loan interest with the EMI planner. It does not create a budget, savings goal, loan or AI-generated financial plan.
- Continue from the local plan to the separate AI or local-only choice. Choose Continue with Google, or Continue with Apple on iPhone, to open the Enable AI consent window before provider sign-in.
- Open Privacy Policy - AI section and read how AI uses eligible text. The AI agreement checkbox starts unchecked; Agree and continue stays disabled until you choose to agree.
- If you agree, select I agree to the AI use described in the Privacy Policy. The Agree and continue button becomes enabled. General welcome acknowledgement is not this separate cloud-AI agreement.
- Tap Agree and continue, then finish the chosen provider's sign-in. The AI choice is saved only after successful sign-in; checking the box alone does not enable AI.
- To decline, choose Close to return to the account choices, then Continue without AI. Closing the window does not enable AI. Local-only tracking does not require the AI agreement.
- After successful AI setup or Continue without AI, continue to optional widget setup, then Dashboard. You can proceed without adding a widget.
Step 3
Important details
The order is finance questions, local introduction plan, optional AI consent/sign-in or local-only, widget setup, then Dashboard.
Answers stay in memory, are never sent to AI or analytics and are discarded when leaving the plan. Only the current onboarding stage is persisted for restart recovery.
There are no visible Back or Skip buttons in the current questionnaire. Continue appears only after selection; the system's navigation behavior is separate.
This introduction does not automatically configure accounts or financial records. You decide what to add later.
Screens use the actual linked MAUI pages and view models on Windows with synthetic selections. No cloud AI, sign-in or financial-record creation is performed.
Before sign-in the consent action is Agree and continue. The later consent window in Settings instead uses Enable AI; these are different entry points.
The consent screenshots show the actual popup code on Windows before and after checking the agreement. No provider sign-in is performed and no AI consent is saved by this capture.
