Step 1
Choose Owe-you and Repayment
- Select Debt and Repayment
- Use the borrower's category
- Do not increase the loan by choosing Loan
Choose Debt, the borrower's Owe-you category and Repayment when collecting money they owe you.
Repayment reduces their receivable; Loan would record more money lent instead.
Step 2
Record the actual collection
- Example: one thousand collected
- Use when you actually received it
- Due interest is not received cash
Enter the actual amount received and its date, not simply the interest that is due.
The sample collection is one thousand rupees. Interest accrual alone does not prove a borrower paid you.
Step 3
Review allocation cautiously
- Posted interest may affect allocation
- The split is calculated, not bank-confirmed
- Do not record it as extra income again
Posted interest can affect Pennie's calculated principal and interest allocation.
It is a presentation calculation, not a bank-confirmed breakdown or an extra receipt. This sample has interest off, so we do not invent an interest component.
Step 4
Review and save once
- Check the final summary
- Use Save, or Cancel to leave it unsaved
- Complete an offered access unlock
Read the You're adding summary before recording this borrower collection. Check the amount, category and date.
Tap Save once. If the manual-saving access offer appears, use a completed reward or regular Premium access; AI Premium and cloud consent are separate.
Cancel leaves the form unsaved. Pennie records transactions; it does not send money through your bank.
Step 5
Check the saved transaction
- Open Transactions
- Check the recorded amount and details
- Do not enter the same movement twice
Check the saved Ravi Loan repayment.
The verified one-thousand collection reduces twelve thousand owed to eleven thousand.
Do not add another income entry for the same collection simply because an allocation is displayed.
