Step 1

Choose Debt

  1. Open the category editor
  2. Check name, icon and purpose
  3. Keep the same category when editing

Use Debt for money you lent, such as this Ravi loan example.

Debt can track both money you owe and money owed to you.

Step 2

Select Owe you

  1. Read the setup field
  2. Enter your own agreed amount
  3. A target is not a transaction

Select Owe you and enter the opening receivable plus a collection target.

The selected lending direction survives switching to interest mode.

Step 3

Add optional collection interest

  1. Select the agreed calculation and cadence
  2. Check principal and annual rate
  3. Use the actual tracking terms

Use the agreed interest calculation, cadence and annual rate; the example selects Compound.

Accrual grows the tracked receivable, not cash already collected.

Step 4

Check Money lent

  1. Check the verified saved state
  2. Read the highlighted value
  3. Setup is separate from money movement

The real service-verified principal and accrued interest appear in the Money lent group.

Record each actual collection separately; a collection target is not a received payment.
