Worked examples use sample data, not your account. Reference screenshots show the current app controls in a Windows preview; their example amounts may differ from this lesson. Android system prompts vary by device.

Step 1

Read Simple settings

  1. Select the agreed calculation and cadence
  2. Check principal and annual rate
  3. Use the actual tracking terms

Simple interest does not earn interest on prior posted interest under the configured terms.

This unchanged-principal example uses the real production calculation, not a guessed percentage badge.

Step 2

Check the Simple result

  1. Check the verified saved state
  2. Read the highlighted value
  3. Setup is separate from money movement

The verified simple example has two posted periods and a tracked balance of 10,200 rupees.

Do not extrapolate that static example after borrowing, repayments or changed recorded terms.

Step 3

Read Compound settings

  1. Select the agreed calculation and cadence
  2. Check principal and annual rate
  3. Use the actual tracking terms

Compound explicitly includes eligible previously posted interest in the next period's base.

Choose the calculation that matches your agreement; loans in our earlier examples selected Compound.

Step 4

Compare the computed result

  1. Check the verified saved state
  2. Read the highlighted value
  3. Setup is separate from money movement

The verified compound example has two periods and a tracked balance of 10,201 rupees.

The difference comes from actual posting terms, not a promise of bank returns or lender charges.
