Step 1
Read gross savings deposits
- Open Savings & Goals.
- Gross deposits are 5,825 INR.
Savings and Goals shows five thousand eight hundred twenty-five in gross deposits.
Gross deposits include incoming transfer legs. This period dashboard is not the savings account's lifetime balance.
Step 2
Read gross withdrawals
- Gross withdrawals are 2,000 INR.
- Transfers can affect both sides.
Gross withdrawals total two thousand in this sample.
Moving money between savings categories can appear on both sides without creating new income or spending.
Step 3
Use external net contributions
- External net contributions are 3,825 INR.
- Internal movement is shown separately.
External net contributions are three thousand eight hundred twenty-five.
Internal savings movement is shown separately. These are selected-period movements, not forecasts or bank-confirmed interest.
Step 4
Separate money you owe
- Open Debt & Loans.
- Read borrowing separately from money lent.
Debt and Loans separates amounts owed by you from amounts owed to you.
This sample adds ten thousand five hundred owed by you, and three thousand two hundred thirty owed to you.
Step 5
Distinguish repayments and collections
- Repaid by you: 2,500 INR.
- Collected from others: 600 INR.
Repayments by you total two thousand five hundred.
Collections on money owed to you total six hundred. Their selected-period net changes are not lifetime outstanding balances.
Step 6
Trace transfers to source Records
- Filter Records to Transfer.
- Check source and destination categories.
Filter Records to Transfer and inspect the source and destination categories.
One transfer can create two attributed account legs without becoming an ordinary expense. Clear the filter afterward.
Step 7
Follow the destination leg
- Read the Transfer category column.
- A loan and money lent have different directions.
The Transfer category column preserves each destination, including the loan and money-lent categories.
This lets you trace both attributed legs back to one saved transfer. It does not turn the transfer into ordinary spending.
