Step 1
Deletion is different from signing out
- Find Delete account and data
- Treat this as an irreversible account action
Profile has Delete account and data below the switch and sign-out buttons.
Use sign out instead if you only want to leave the account signed out. Deletion is a separate irreversible action.
Step 2
Read the first account-deletion warning
- Account and referral identity are removed
- Cancel stops before the next confirmation
The first confirmation warns that your Pennie account and referral code are permanently removed.
Earned referral ad-free time is part of that account identity. Do not delete simply to change Google accounts.
Step 3
Account deletion does not erase everything
- Device expenses are not deleted here
- Existing Drive backups remain in your Drive
Your expenses on this device are not deleted by this account action.
Backups already in your own Google Drive remain there. Removing a Drive backup is a separate operation.
Step 4
Cancel is the safe way to leave this warning
- Choose Cancel if you are unsure
- No account or Drive changes occur
Use Cancel if deletion is not exactly what you intend.
This demonstration never sends an account-deletion request and never touches a real ledger or Drive backup.
Step 5
A second confirmation protects this decision
- Are you sure? is a separate step
- Signing in later creates a new account
Continuing from the first warning opens Are you sure?
The second warning says the referral code is removed permanently. Signing in again creates a brand-new account.
Step 6
Keep my account cancels the final step
- Choose Keep my account to stop
- Delete permanently is the final destructive action
Keep my account cancels at the second confirmation.
Delete permanently is the final destructive action. We do not choose it in this worked example.
Step 7
Review the scope before any real deletion
- Cancellation preserves the account
- Account, ledger and Drive are separate
Cancellation leaves the synthetic account unchanged, as shown here.
Before any real deletion, distinguish your Pennie account, local device expenses and existing Google Drive backups.
