Clean up old captured notifications safely

Step 1

Find Cleanup in Track Finance Notifications

Open Track Finance Notifications and scroll to Cleanup.

Its description says it removes captured finance notifications older than seven days. Saved transactions are not affected.

Step 2

The information button opens this real Cleanup explanation.

OK closes the explanation. Opening or closing this dialog does not run cleanup.

Step 3

The age cutoff applies to pending captures as well as ones already handled.

Review and save any needed old message first. Cleanup does not preserve an old capture just because it was still pending.

Step 4

Clean up old notifications starts the operation immediately. There is no confirmation dialog.

This demonstration uses only a guarded in-memory database, never a real user's captures.

Step 5

The isolated test starts with captures aged fourteen days, eight days, six days and now.

The real handler removes the first two. The six-day and new captures remain.

Step 6

The saved ledger, its category, note and amount remain unchanged.

Cleanup also leaves the stored learned-category preferences alone. Reset learned categories is a different action.

Step 7

Use cleanup for old captured-message records, not for deleting saved expenses.

It is not Android notification-tray cleanup or cloud AI-data deletion. Keep those separate choices.
