Step 1
Find Delete my AI data
- Open AI Intelligence from Settings
- Scroll to the separate deletion button
Open AI Intelligence from Settings and scroll to Delete my AI data.
This button is about AI learning and stored answers. It is not the command to delete your saved expense ledger.
Step 2
Deletion remains available with cloud AI off
- Cloud permission is off in this example
- Deletion and stopping uploads are different choices
Deletion remains available even when cloud AI permission is off, as in this example.
Turning permission off stops future AI uploads. It does not automatically clear stored AI answers or undo already submitted processing.
Step 3
Read the full Delete AI data confirmation
- Tap Delete my AI data
- Read the irreversible warning before choosing
Tap Delete my AI data to open the actual confirmation.
Read all its paragraphs before choosing. This demonstration opens the real dialog, but cancels before any deletion service runs.
Step 4
Local caches, learning and queued work
- Local category caches include bill answers
- Learning state and offline queue are cleared
The local part clears AI category caches, including bill answers, and resets the on-device learning model.
It also removes queued offline enrichment work. That is different from deleting the saved transactions used as evidence.
Step 5
A server purge needs its own acknowledgement
- Pennie asks the server to purge stored AI answers
- Local success is not server success
Pennie also asks the server to purge stored AI reports and bill answers.
Local success is not proof of server success. If server deletion is not acknowledged, the app asks you to reconnect and try again.
Step 6
Saved transactions and receipts remain
- Your saved ledger and receipts are retained
- Current saved evidence can rebuild learning
Saved transactions and receipts are not deleted by this AI-data action.
The local classifier can rebuild from current saved transactions. Clearing its current model does not erase that saved evidence.
Step 7
Request markers and quota are not reset
- No-repeat request markers remain
- AI-data deletion does not grant fresh usage
Hashed request markers remain to prevent repeat AI charges.
Clearing AI answers does not refill your account's AI allowance. Do not use deletion as a way to request a fresh free grant.
Step 8
This cannot be undone
- Delete is an irreversible action
- Choose Cancel when you do not intend a purge
The confirmation says this cannot be undone. Choose Delete only when you genuinely intend that purge.
Choose Cancel when you only wanted to inspect the warning. That is the safe action used throughout this worked example.
Step 9
Cancel returns without deleting AI data
- The actual Cancel action closes the dialog
- No deletion or server request was performed
After the actual Cancel action, the AI Intelligence page is still available.
Step 10
Keep permission, AI deletion and ledger separate
- Use permission to control future cloud AI
- Read and confirm deletion only when intended
Keep cloud permission, clearing AI data, account deletion and deleting saved transactions as separate choices.
Read the exact warning, keep the retained-data boundary in mind, and cancel whenever you do not intend an irreversible purge.
