- Access and AI permissions are separate
Tap the receipt-scan button on Transactions.
The scanning access unlock is separate from account sign-in, Enable cloud AI and remaining AI allowance; regular Premium does not grant paid AI quota.
Step 2
Use the separate scanning access offer
- Complete a reward or use regular Premium
- Access applies to scanning only
- Cloud AI needs separate permission and quota
If scanning access is locked, complete the offered rewarded ad or use regular Premium.
The access window applies to scanning only. It does not sign you in, enable cloud AI or grant paid AI quota. Not now leaves it locked.
Step 3
Choose Camera, Gallery or PDF
- Crop a clear receipt photo
- Use the system picker
- Keep the file within twelve megabytes
Choose Camera, Gallery or PDF and provide one clear receipt, cropped to avoid surrounding personal details.
Step 4
Know the PDF and OCR limits
- Text PDFs are supported
- Scanned PDFs need a photo
- Missing words require correction or rescanning
Text PDFs are supported, while scanned image PDFs need a photo.
On-device OCR currently reads Latin-script text such as English. AI cannot recover words that the recognizer never detected.
Step 5
Review the editable draft
- AI receives bounded redacted text
- The photo is not uploaded
- Check every extracted field
With your account and cloud permission, AI receives bounded redacted OCR text, not the photo.
Review the editable draft against the actual receipt. If AI is unavailable, keep the local text and enter the draft manually; no image-upload escalation is offered.
